Come on out and lend a hand to help repair the North Suck Creek suspension bridge! We’ll be meeting at Shackleford Ridge Park, shelter parking area at 9am on Thursday, May 29th. We’ll have two main objectives for the day:
- Haul 30 12-ft boards and other supplies 1/3 mile from the parking lot to North Suck Creek.
- Remove and replace decking on the bridge.
Two volunteers experienced with basic measurements and cuts will be a big help, other volunteers can help move materials onto the bridge. Plan to stay for two hours if you’re hauling materials, or up to six if you’d like to help complete the decking. If you will be helping to transport boards, please bring a cushion for your shoulder.
All volunteers: please bring work gloves, lunch and water.
