4th Annual Ride for the Cumberland Trail Registration is Open!!

Join us for the fourth annual Ride for the Cumberland Trail, Saturday, August 6–a motorcycle tour to benefit the Cumberland Trail State Scenic Trail. Motorcyclists will enjoy an exploration of the scenic wonders along the route of the Cumberland Trail, with stops at the historic Cumberland Homesteads Museum, Head of Sequatchie, Dunlap Coke Ovens, and more. The event includes prizes donated by area businesses, snacks, and walks with park rangers. Experienced leaders will guide the motorcyclists along the sweeping roads, through fantastic scenery of forest, fields, streams, and mountains. Optional evening activities include dinner and concert at The Smokehouse ($7 meal deal from The Smokehouse/$10 per concert ticket).

Meeting time and place:

Registration: 9:00am Eastern
Kickstands up: 9:45am Eastern.

If you’re coming from the west you can meet us at our first stop at the Cumberland Homesteads Tower Museum in Crossville, Tennessee. We plan to arrive around 9:45am Central (10:45am Eastern).

Suggested donation is $25 per motorcycle in advance, $30 day of ride.

**Passengers and non-motorcycle drivers are welcome to attend with a donation.

We'll be enjoying a meal and a concert at The Smokehouse after the ride. If you'd like us to make a reservation for you and your passenger, let us know. Meal cost & concert admission is not included with the registration donation, but The Smokehouse has offered a $7 meal deal, and you can always order off the regular menu. The concert is $10 per person at the door.

Crossville, Tenn. – On Saturday, August 16th, motorcyclists from across Tennessee and Kentucky participated in a unique motorcycle tour and rally across the Cumberland Plateau in support of the Cumberland Trail State Scenic Trail. Thirty-one riders began the day with at the Cumberland Homesteads Tower Museum in Crossville, Tennessee, and continued on through the Sequatchie Valley with stops at the Head of Sequatchie and Grassy Cove.

Meet at 9:00am Eastern at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson, Maryville, TN or 9:30am Central at Homestead Tower, Crossville, TN.  Ride follows ridgetops, valleys, and wild landscapes of the Cumberland Plateau, including Sequatchie Valley and Grassy Cove.  Stop for unique historic features, spectacular viewpoints, and visits with musicians, rangers, and old-timers.  Conclude at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson and The Shed for the evening concert.  Ride leader:  Tim Rooney.  This tour benefits Friends of the Cumberland Trail.  $30 per motorcycle.  Pre-registration encouraged!
