What: Join us for the third annual Ride for the Cumberland Trail, Saturday, August 22–a motorcycle tour to benefit the Cumberland Trail State Scenic Trail. Motorcyclists will enjoy an exploration of the scenic wonders along the route of the Cumberland Trail, with stops at Black Mountain and Obed Wild and Scenic River. The event includes prizes donated by area businesses, snacks, walks with Park Rangers, and admission to the evening concert at The Shed. Experienced leaders will guide the motorcyclists along the sweeping roads, through fantastic scenery of forest, fields, streams, and mountains.
Meeting time and place: Registration: 9:00am Eastern Time at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson, 1820 W. Lamar Alexander Pkwy., Maryville, TN 37801. Kickstands up: 10:00am.

Two dates have been set for Volunteer Training for the Cumberland Seeds project: Saturday, May 9 at Head of Sequatchie, and Saturday, August 29 at Trailhead Nursery, Signal Mtn., TN. Sessions will be given by Park staff, FCT Board members, and guest instructors on a variety of topics from seed collecting to databasing to nursery work and more. Stay tuned for details. Ride follows ridgetops, valleys, and wild landscapes of the Cumberland Plateau, including Sequatchie Valley and Grassy Cove. Stop for unique historic features, spectacular viewpoints, and visits with musicians, rangers, and old-timers. Conclude at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson and The Shed for the evening concert.
